Electrical Engineer – ($65 – 85k)
Chance Rides is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer to join the team.
For over 60 years, Chance Rides Manufacturing, Inc. has been a family-owned Wichita, KS based manufacturer of world class and state of the art amusement rides and people movers for amusement parks, zoos, malls, aquariums, and municipalities worldwide. With a steady growth in business, we are currently hiring for the following position: Electrical Engineer
General Purpose:
The Electrical Engineer will help design, develop, implement, and support all new and existing products manufactured at Chance Rides.
Minimum Job Requirements include (but not limited to):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent ABET accredited program
- Experience designing electrical power and control systems
- Basic/2D, AutoCAD experience: schematic creation, cabinet layout
- Team player with proven skills in meeting deadlines
- Excellent written / oral communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills and Training Requirements:
- 3+ years of electrical design experience
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience designing audio/visual and entertainment lighting systems
- Experience designing industrial control panels (UL 508A)
- Experience working with 3D modeling/Creo
- Previous experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control systems, a plus
- Knowledge of Project Management and Scheduling for Engineering
- Familiarity with UL 508A (Qualified MTR), NFPA 70 NEC, and ASTM Safety standards
- System Safety Analysis and report generation
- Experience in the Amusement Ride industry
- Basic testing and troubleshooting knowledge
