Role:                Project Management Director

Reports to:     CEO

General Purpose:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Project Management Director oversees the daily and strategic operations of the Project Management team, driving success in budgeting, system improvement, scheduling, and client communications. This position is part of the EOS Senior Leadership team and is essential for developing strong relationships with employees, vendors, and key customers. In this key customer-facing role, the PM Director ensures a seamless customer experience, fostering both short-term satisfaction and long-term business growth. 

 Team Leadership & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship and training/development to the current Project Management team.
  • Demonstrate and instill in each team member a sense of direct ownership & responsibility of projects, actions, and results.
  • Ensure effective communication, relationship building, and coordination among project teams, internal & external stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Manage project schedule and develop forecasting tools identifying risks earlier and developing actionable & measurable recovery plans.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the entire organization.
  • Drive innovation in Project Management by adopting new methodologies, technologies, and approaches that will improve project outcomes.
  • Document core Project Management processes to drive consistency & repeatability.

Client & Stakeholder Management: 

  • Support and lead key business strategies following the EOS business organizational model.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders and clients, lead project meetings, provide regular project updates, addressing concerns, and managing changes in scope.
  • Manage client expectations, balancing customer satisfaction with project goals, financial objectives, and overall company interests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the company’s strategic goals.
  • Manage strategic projects by developing, prioritizing, and coordinating project work plans; ensuring project objectives are aligned with overall project goals and deliverables.
  • Provide hands on project management for large business critical projects for key customers.
  • Identify goals, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and known issues with the project; develop strategies to mitigate those risks and prioritize resolution of critical issues while maintaining profitability & schedule.
  • Maintain a focus on safety, quality, customer experience, and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
  • Travel as required for projects and customer experience, installation, and support.

Preferred Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale manufacturing or product projects over $500k and managing teams.
  • Management experience (hiring, firing, developing, evaluating team members).
  • Experience in developing and implementing project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, diplomacy handling challenging situations with direct customer interaction, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management knowledge areas, tools, software (e.g. Wrike, Monday), and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under changing pressures and demands.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the amusement rides or large-scale heavy equipment manufacturing industries is preferred, as this role requires an understanding of complex engineering systems and client demands within these sectors.
