Chance Rides, LLC is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team.

Chance Rides, LLC manufactures a diverse line of amusement ride products including trains, trams, carousels, thrill rides, observation wheels and roller coasters that are enjoyed all around the world. With over 60 years of legacy and talent, our dedicated leadership, management, and skilled workforce serves customers including global attraction venues, theme parks, family entertainment centers, zoos and aquariums.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a proven analytical background. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations with the potential opportunity to transition into a leadership role as the Accounting Manager, overseeing A/P and A/R functions.

 

Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Provide guidance for accounting team and oversee accurate general ledger accounting and reporting
  • Participate in preparation of monthly reporting to ownership
  • Assist in preparation of month end close processes
  • Prepare all monthly journal entries with acute attention to detail
  • Prepare all monthly account reconciliations for all entities
  • Assist in corporate budgeting and forecasting efforts on a monthly and yearly basis
  • Assist in development and deployment of corporate accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist in monitoring treasury function, including cash and wire activities
  • Become Global Shop (ERP) proficient and learn best practices for process improvement implementation
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting in an as needed capacity
  • Understand and lead special projects and support project cost analysis as required
  • Provide training and technical education to accounting and corporate staff, as needed

  • Proven ability to work well, and be understanding of, work-related stresses
  • Strong numeric analytical skills
  • Ability to self-start and work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Proven track record of balancing multiple special projects in conjunction with typical daily duties
  • High moral standards and strong work ethic

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Accountant and/or Assistant Controller
