Controls Engineer – ($70-85k)

We are currently seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team. Come grow with us!

Job Responsibilities: 

This position will help design, develop, implement, and support all new and existing products manufactured. 

  • Write PLC, HMI & VFD programs for amusement ride controls systems
  • Commission and troubleshoot control systems
  • Manage and schedule projects
  • Assist with electrical schematic and panel design
  • Occasional overnight travel for installation, commissioning, and customer support (company paid)

Minimum Job Requirements include (but not limited to): 

  • Associate of Science Degree in electronic engineering technology, automation engineering technology, mechatronics, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of programming knowledge (PLC, HMI, VFD, etc.)
  • Previous experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control system software
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment and consistently meet established deadlines
  • Excellent written/oral communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred Skills and Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, robotics, or equivalent ABET certified program; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the Amusement Ride industry
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Project Management and Scheduling for Engineering
  • System Safety Analysis and report generation
  • Familiarity with UL 508A (Qualified MTR), NFPA 70 NEC, and ASTM Safety standards
  • Experience designing electrical power, control systems, and entertainment lighting systems
