Controls Engineer – ($70-85k)

Chance Rides, LLC is currently seeking an Controls Engineer to join the team.

General Purpose

This position will help design, develop, implement, and support all new and existing products manufactured.

Write PLC, HMI & VFD programs for amusement ride controls systems
Commission and troubleshoot control systems
Manage and schedule projects
Assist with electrical schematic and panel design
Occasional overnight travel for installation, commissioning, and customer support (company paid)

Minimum Job Requirements include (but not limited to):

Associate of Science Degree in electronic engineering technology, automation engineering technology, mechatronics, or equivalent
4+ years of programming knowledge (PLC, HMI, VFD, etc.)
Previous experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control system software
Team player with proven skills in meeting deadlines
Excellent written/oral communication and organizational skills

Preferred Skills and Training Requirements:

Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, robotics, or equivalent ABET certified program; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in the Amusement Ride industry
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Project Management and Scheduling for Engineering
System Safety Analysis and report generation
Familiarity with UL 508A (Qualified MTR), NFPA 70 NEC, and ASTM Safety standards
Experience designing electrical power, control systems, and entertainment lighting systems
